Tropical

Don on the way?

Tropical Distrubance possibly Don?

There is almost a certainity, that a new tropical depression or storm is likely to be forming off the coast of the Yucatan. If it becomes a tropical storm its name will be Don. Latest runs show that “Don” will be making a beeline for the lower Texas Coast somewhere between Corpus Christi and Victoria however that may change. The HWRF model brings it up to a Cat 1 hurricane with winds around 80mph. If it makes landfall as a hurricane in Texas, it will be the first landfalling hurricane in the United States in several years. The remnants of said storm could effect our weather here in about a week depending on movement and where the moisture will end up.

UPDATE: Tropical Storm Don has formed just north of the Yucatan.
