MORE RAIN: Another day of chances of showers and thunderstorms. This will mainly be in the early morning hours this morning and then again in the late afternoon into the evening and overnight. The rest of the daylight hours should remain dry and hot as most of the state is again under either a heat advisory or Excessive Heat Warning. Actual temperatures will be in the upper 80s north to middle 90s south with heat indices over 100°

A HEAT BREAK: There will be a break from the heat beginning Sunday lasting through Tuesday when a warm front moves through bringing the TRIPLE H weather back. Until that point, readings will be in the 80s.

TRIPLE H RETURNS: The TRIPLE H makes its appearance in the state again by Wednesday but in a much diminished role as in the previous heat wave. The heat is only expected to last two days and it won’t be as intense as this past week’s, however readings will still be in the 90s with heat indices approaching 110°. Model run also shows possible heat again by the following weekend with the 594mb ridge setting up just to the south.
