MORE TRIPLE H: Heat Wave continues in its full glory today through Thursday at the earliest, although the next chance of widespread rain comes Saturday into Sunday of next week. This will also end the heat wave. Until then highs will remain in the 90s, lows in the 70s and heat indices well over 100 if not 110° across the state. Excessive Heat Warnings may get extended until this next weekend when the frontal boundary will be approaching the state.

NEXT SUNDAY: Likely to be the next real good chance at showers and thunderstorms statewide with the frontal boundary moving through. This will be much needed rain by that time (outside of areas that got heavy amounts of rain over the last few days). After this next weekend, the heat is likely NOT to be returning at least into Iowa at this time.
