BEFORE THE HEAT: The next two days will be the most pleasant days of the next two weeks, because Triple H weather will be returning in full force by the weekend and is looking to stick around for the rest of the period. High Pressure east of Duluth MN will bring some easterly winds to the state today, this should dry most of the state from any rain chances. However there is still a shot at some isolated showers both today and tomorrow.

DURING THE HEAT: Friday, winds will turn southerly and the warmth will sweep into the state along with higher humidities, dewpoints and heat indices. One WRF model from UIUC yesterday had readings on Saturday over 100° in most of the state. While those numbers are high, heat indices will easily surpass that mark Friday through early next week. Actual temperatures across the state will be in the 80s to lower 90s Friday and Saturday, 90s statewide Sunday, and 90s to near or over 100 on Monday, before temperatures settle back into the 80s to lower 90s into mid-week.

FURTHER AHEAD: This model run continues to show the heat in the one to two week time period with the heat ridge continuing over the center part of the country. There will be isolated chances at showers and thunderstorms through the period but no widespread chances at least at this time.
