* AT 417 AM CDT…TRAINED SPOTTERS AND DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED APPROXIMATELY ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 27 MILES WEST OF BELLE PLAINE TO 15 MILES WEST OF VICTOR TO 19 MILES WEST OF WHAT CHEER…OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 38 MILES SOUTHWEST OF WATERLOO TO 28 MILES WEST OF MARENGO TO 28 MILES WEST OF SIGOURNEY…AND MOVING EAST AT 55 MPH.
