There has been both an increase and decrease in the midday outlook from the Storm Prediction Center. The increase is in the coverage of the slight risk area. It is now northwest of a Northwood to Glenwood line (about 60 miles further east and 60 miles further south), however the chances of severe weather have decreased, no longer is the 30% risk area for large hail and damaging winds (as seen in forecast video this morning) outlooked, nor is the 5% tornado risk across NW Iowa. So, the coverage area is larger but the chances aren’t as good as earlier forecast. This will also be the same tomorrow as well, with severe weather being very isolated.
