The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective until 1am Wednesday morning for Fremont, Mills, Montgomery, Page and Pottawattamie counties in SW Iowa. Thunderstorms over eastern Nebraska may clip into SW Iowa later this evening with damaging winds and large hail being the main threats. Some tornadoes are possible further to the west in the long east to west box. Heavy rain is possible with some of these larger storms (and near the flooding Missouri River) but flash flooding isn’t likely.
