The month of July opened with a very warm first hour. Temperatures remain in the 80s for most of the state outside a few locales which have mercifully dropped into the upper 70s. Heat Indices are still well above 80°, with some still over 90. Knoxville reported a heat index at Midnight of 102°, so it’s still VERY HOT!
