The levee breach near Percival earlier today has caused numerous issues. First off Interstate 29 is now closed from Bartlett (south of Glenwood) down to Rockport MO. Also the river at Nebraska City (just downstream from the breach) has fallen over a foot in the last few hours. It is now back under the old record of 27.3ft, but still 9 feet over flood stage. More levee breaches are possible and more road closures are possible. This is a long duration event expected to last many more weeks throughout the summer season.
