TRIPLE H: The triple H’s will be in effect for several days. Hazy, hot and humid across the state. Temperatures over the next two days will be soaring into the 90s with heat indices at or over 100° for several hours at a time. A Heat Advisory has been issued for both today and Friday across the western 2/3rds of the state. An Excessive Heat Watch has been issued for Friday for the eastern and SE counties of the state.

STORM CHANCES: There will be isolated chances at showers and thunderstorms throughout the holiday weekend, but there will be plentiful amounts of dry time during the day. The best chances look to be Late Friday night into Saturday Morning and late Sunday night into Monday Morning. Rainfall during the holiday weekend is expect to amount to no more than a half inch (unless you receieve multiple storms). Temperatures this weekend will be 5-8° cooler than the next two days with highs in the 80s to near 90 with heat indices likely remaining at or below 100.
