No Video or Weekly Weather Forecast today due to severe weather.
There is a slight risk of severe weather for today and tonight across southeastern Iowa, however the better chances will be off to the east and south of the state. Any storms that do form in the state may have large hail and damaging winds with them. Temperatures will return to seasonal averages later this week and even soar above them with highs nearing and topping 90 degrees by late this week. The holiday weekend looks good so far, with only very isolated chances at showers and thunderstorms. At this time, none of them are expected to be severe but that could change.
Past seven days, there could be some active weather the week after Independence Day which may bring some showers and thunderstorms. This will be along a ring of fire around a huge heat ridge that will be building across the intermountain west over the first full week of July.
