The Storm Prediction Center has issued a TORNADO Watch until 4am Monday morning for the following counties, Fremont, Page, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Pottawattamie and Shelby. This replaces the previous watch for Fremont and Page counties. Thunderstorms have fired across SW Iowa and NW Missouri with active tornado warnings. These will continue through the overnight hours. Besides the threat of tornadoes, large hail and damaging straightline winds will be threats as well. Heavy rain is also a possibility, with some flooding possible especially near the Missouri River valley.

The original watch until 2am has been extended north and northeastward and now includes, Adair, Adams, Audubon, Boone, Carroll, Cass, Clarke, Crawford, Dallas, Greene, Guthrie, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Story, Tama, Union, Wapello and Warren counties.
