The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective until 2am Saturday morning for the following counties, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Ida, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, Plymouth, Sioux, Woodbury, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, Shelby, Audubon, Carroll, Cass, Crawford and Sac. A few isolated thunderstorms have begun to develop across the eastern sections of Nebraska this evening. These will move into the state later on, with the possibility of the storms having large hail and damaging winds. This will likely congeal into a MCS and traverse the rest of the state during the overnight hours (non-severe) producing copious amounts of rain, in areas that don’t need anymore.
