* AT 1033 PM CDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED FLASH FLOODING FROM THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WARNED AREA. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES THAT 1 TO 2.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER THE PAST HOUR IN NORTHWEST KEOKUK COUNTY…AND SOUTHWEST IOWA COUNTY. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL HAS FALLEN OVER WESTERN WASHINTON COUNTY. THIS HEAVY RAIN…AND ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF 1 TO 3 INCHES TONIGHT
WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING ON AREA STREAMS AS WELL AS IN URBAN AREAS.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF 1 TO 3 INCHES IS EXPECTED.
FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS…HIGHWAYS AND STREETS…UNDERPASSES AND LOW LYING URBAN AND RURAL AREAS IS LIKELY. FLOODING WILL ALSO LIKELY OCCUR ALONG THE ENGLISH RIVER.
