The Storm Prediction Center has issued a TORNADO Watch effective until 10pm this evening for the following counties, Des Moines, Henry, Lee, Louisa and Van Buren. Thunderstorms over northern Missouri have been producing tornadoes through the late morning and early afternoon hours. Some of these storms may move into the far southeastern sections of the state where the watch is in effect. Besides the threat of tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds will be possible as well.
