WITH MAXIMUM INTENSITY OF EF1 OCCURRED IN WESTERN FAYETTE COUNTY.
THIS TORNADO INITIALLY TOUCHED DOWN ABOUT 3 MILES EAST OF
SUMNER…ABOUT A HALF MILE NORTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 93
AND U AVENUE. THE TORNADO CONTINUED ON AN EAST-NORTHEAST
TRACK…SKIPPING OR LIFTING OCCASIONALLY…PASSING JUST NORTH OF
RANDALIA…THEN FINALLY LIFTED ABOUT 2 MILES NORTHWEST OF FAYETTE
NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF M AVENUE AND 170TH STREET. NUMEROUS TREES
WERE SNAPPED OFF OR UPROOTED ALONG WITH DAMAGE TO SEVERAL
HOMES…BARNS AND GRAIN BINS.
ANOTHER TORNADO OF EF0 INTENSITY OCCURRED IN EASTERN FAYETTE COUNTY.
THIS TORNADO INITIALLY TOUCHED DOWN 5 MILES EAST OF WEST UNION NEAR
THE INTERSECTION OF B64 AND G AVENUE. THIS TORNADO CONTINUED ON AN
EAST-NORTHEAST TRACK FOR ABOUT ONE MILE BEFORE LIFTING 2 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF CLERMONT. SOME LIGHT ROOFING DAMAGE WAS NOTED ON A HOME
AND BARN ALONG WITH NUMEROUS TREES THAT WERE SNAPPED OFF AND
TOSSED.
