The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective until 10pm this evening for the following counties, Audubon, Buena Vista, Calhoun, Carroll, Cass, Cherokee, Clay, Crawford, Dickinson, Emmet, Fremont, Harrison, Ida, Lyon, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, O’Brien, Osceola, Page, Palo Alto, Plymouth, Pocahontas, Pottawattamie, Sac, Shelby, Sioux and Woodbury. Thunderstorms have begun to fire across eastern Nebraska this afternoon. These will be moving into the western counties of the state in the next two hours. Large hail and damaging winds will be the threats with these thunderstorms as they move northeast at about 25mph.

UPDATE: At 6:30pm, Adair, Adams, Appanoose, Boone, Clarke, Dallas, Davis, Decatur, Greene, Guthrie, Humboldt, Kossuth, Lucas, Madison, Marion, Monroe, Polk, Ringgold, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Warren, Wayne and Webster counties were added to the Watch area.
