RAINY WEEKEND: Still looiks to be rather wet and stormy across the state this coming wekekend with a storm system slowly moving into the state on Friday and lasting through the weekend into early next week. This will be due to the omega block pattern currently over the country, which is causing many of the systems to slow or not even move at times, similar to the upper level feature we had thi spast weekend which is beginning to retrograde back to the west. Some of the clouds from that will move back into the eastern counties of the state today and tonight, but the precipitation will stay far enough to our east. With regards to the weekend storm, severe weather is possible at least south and southwest of the state where the SPC has outlooked an area. Moderate to heavy rain will likely be the main threat with this system with amounts of 2 inches possible through the early part of next week.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: Another wild change today, with two of the three days seeing possible shower and thunderstorm activity. Like before, it’s still too early to determine what the weather will be with such wild swings from model run to model run. One thing is certain, it will not be cold during the holiday weekend.
