Tuesday was a very warm day across Western Wisconsin, every location hit at least the 70s for highs, and some places even broke 80.F for the first time this year, There were even a far spots in the far southwest part of the area that were approaching 90.F! Also with the warm temps, dew points were sent well up into the muggy range, reaching the mid to upper 60s, It felt more like July then May, as temperatures were as much as 10 to 20 degrees above normal. The cause of the warmth was very warm air was surging well ahead of a strong warm front that made it as far north as just south of the local area. This caused a huge temp contrast of about 10 to 20 degrees as you went north through the local area as well as the Midwest.

Tempetures reported on Tuesday.

The warmest temperature was 87.F in River Falls which was closest to the warm front, the coolest reading further north was 70.F from Minong
