TODAY: Rain is back in the state again today, with chances of showers and thunderstorms along a cold front. Severe weather is not expected with this storm system. Amounts will be rather light with many locales seeing a tenth of an inch with isolated amounts over a quarter inch in thunderstorms.
NEXT WEEK: Looks rather dry next week with only a chance of showers and thunderstorms again returning on Thursday with another cold front moving through the state. Amounts for that storm look to remain rather light as well with a quarter inch possible. Temperatures will remain at or below average for early May with readings generally in the 60s with a few upper 50s in cooler locations. Nighttime lows will be in the 30s and 40s, but there shouldn’t be any frost concerns at this time, HOWEVER the last freeze can still occur even into the middle of May, so be aware when buying plants that this could still happen anywhere in the state.
