Locally we will finally get a long awaited descent day. Friday will bring us much sunnier and significantly warmer conditions. Friday night a cold front will start to approach and showers and thunderstorms will form in the very early morning hours Saturday, but should reach here by around dawn, They will not be severe, but they could bring heavy downpours. Looking Ahead

The looking ahead forecast continues to show me up lifting news, it continues to trend warmer in each run i see, even trending warmer with the cool airmass coming for Monday May 2nd. It still looks cool, but there is a chance we may not see below freezing temperatures like earlier thought. There is still slight chance of seeing some snow again though on May 2nd, but it looks very light. By Tuesday May 3rd it dries out and becomes much warmer once again. It stays dry and warm through Wednesday the 4th, before a cool front brings a chance of showers and thunderstorms along with cooler temperatures arriving just in time for Friday. Then a significant warm up, possibly a pattern changing warm up insures us much warmer temps on Saturday May 7th, showers follow ahead of the warm airmass. It dries out Sunday through Wednesday 8-11, and even shows signs and becoming very warm. A system brings a chance of thunderstorms on the Thursday the 12th before it drys out and remains mild as we approach the 14th. Because the models are showing a potentially trend to a warmer but wet pattern, we will have to watch closely as we are in our severe weather season.
