TODAY: Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will traverse the state today. Severe Weather will be just to the south of the state where a lot of rain is also forecast to fall. This storm will quickly move out of the state by early on Saturday leading to a quiet and dry Easter Weekend.
NEXT STORM: Late Easter afternoon into the evening, clouds will increase again with another storm system moving in from the south and west. This will bring another chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday into Tuesday. Severe Weather is possible but its too early to determine at this time. The rest of next week will be dry with near average temperatures.
FLOODING: The Mississippi River has now crested at Fulton IL, Camanche and is currently cresting at LeClaire. It should crest later today at Rock Island IL and into the weekend at Illinois City IL, Muscatine, New Boston IL, Keithsburg IL, Burlington and Keokuk. Other rivers including the West Fork Des Moines River, Little Sioux River, Big Sioux River and Missouri River remain under flood warnings as well. Any more rainfall may prolong flooding on these rivers and secondary crests may be possible.
