WET WEEK: A wet and cool week is in store across the state. It begins with a storm moving in late tonight and Tuesday with rainfall that could be heavy at times. Severe Weather is likely going to remain just to the south of the state in Missouri and western Illinois with this system. The next system after this one comes late Thursday into Friday with another chance of showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms. Heavy rain is possible with this system as well with the combined totals from both storms in the 2-3″ range which is likely to prolong flooding across the Mississippi River. Temperatures will remain below average for the week with highs in the 40s and 50s with lows in the 30s and lower 40s. A warm up is in store after Easter, but that’s still a week away.

FLOODING: The Mississippi River has crested at Lansing, Lynxville WI and is about to crest at McGregor and Guttenberg. More rain in the forecast will likely slow any falls forecast for the river in these areas and increase the crest levels further to the south. Another update will be forthcoming later today.
