It’s been a wild day and night across the state, with some showers and isolated thunderstorms across the southern and eastern counties of the state with some small hail with them, the strong winds around a low pressure center that is currently moving through SE Iowa this evening, and some flurry activity across NW Iowa. Estherville and Spencer at 9pm are reporting snow flurries with readings in the mid 30s with a howling north wind. Wind chills may drop into the upper teens in the northern counties of the state by Midnight with areas north of I-80 seeing wind chills in the 20s. Another cool and breezy, yet drier day is in store for Saturday.
