Moderate Risk Eastern Iowa Today

Severe Weather Threat Today

There is a moderate risk of severe weather across the eastern counties of the state today, with a slight risk mainly east of I-35. Like posted last night, all modes of severe weather will be possible, including tornadoes (some possible long tracked ones), large hail (some significant) and damaging winds. Main window looks to be between 2pm-10pm give or take as the cold front sweeps through the state. Cooler, drier and quieter weather will move back in for the beginning of the week.

NOTE: There will be NO posting of warnings of the event due to travel, the NWS iemBOT twitter feeds will update any new warnings that are issued
