The Storm Prediction Center in Norman,OK has issued a Moderate Risk! for far southwestern parts of the local area south of Interstate 94 in southern Dunn counties, This includes the cities of Hudson and Menomonie, and a Slight Risk for all north of this area, which includes the entire 6 county area. Thunderstorms are expected to develop late Saturday in southern Minnesota area and move northeast, pushing into the local area. The highest threats will be large hail and damaging winds, with the outside chance of tornados. This is the first threat of severe weather for the local area, and people should be aware severe storms may be around Saturday evening and night.
