A cold moderate to heavy rain has been falling most of the afternoon across the southern counties of the state. Temperatures have been held down in the 40s to near 50 where rain has been falling while north of the rain shafts, readings have risen into the 60s. Rain will continue moving across the state with amounts generally between a quarter and two thirds of an inch of rain. Warmer conditions will come this weekend along with the severe weather threat.
