The Storm Prediction Center has issued a TORNADO Watch effective until 2am Wednesday morning for the following counties, Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk, Van Buren, Washington, Appanoose, Lucas, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Wayne, Davis and Wapello.

Conditions will be favorable for the development of small brief tornadoes in these areas, but the main threat is beginning to transition into large hail and damaging winds. The storms will move out of the state during the early morning hours.
