TWO SIDED WEEKEND: The Weekend will have one nice day and one stormy day. The nice one will be today with some partly cloudy skies and highs a degree or two warmer than Friday with 50s possible across the state. Precipitation will be increasing Sunday with chances of showers and isolated thunderstorms. Severe Weather is not expected with any thunderstorms however some small hail could be possible. Rainfall from Sunday’s event will range in the three to seven tenths range with the heaviest amounts in thunderstorms.

MID-WEEK MESS: Another more powerful system will be making an appearance in the state by the middle of next week with showers and thunderstorms returning to the state Tuesday. These aren’t expected to be severe at this time. As the storm moves off, colder air will filter into the state, so much so that some of the precipitation especially across the far northern counties may mix with a bit of sleet or wet snowflakes before ending. Little accumulations will be possible, although the rainfall from this event will be another half to one inch mainly across the southeastern half of the state (not in the river flooding areas in the far north and NW)

MONTH END: As was mentioned yesterday, the GFS still shows the last week of March to be rather active with back to back storm systems with chances of precipitation. April looks to come in a bit above normal in temperatures ahead of a storm at the end of the period around the 3rd. (Remember this is voo-doo and is likely to change with each model run)
