SNOW MELTING AWAY: The rest of the week will see more warm weather across the state with a few chances of light rain or drizzle from now through Thursday with the best chances coming Thursday with a cold front moving through the state.

STORMY NEXT WEEK?: Another storm, much stronger than Friday’s will move from the southwest into the state late Sunday night into Monday. There will be chances of some rain possibly mixed with snow depending on the freeze line across the state. The 0z MOS data shows a possibility of some thunder Sunday night into Monday, but will rule that out for now. A repeat could be in store again Wednesday into Thursday with more chances of rain possibly mixed with snow over NW Iowa.

RERUN in VOODOO: If you like the two storms early next week, you’ll love the next storm Friday the 25th of February as another low moves to the south of the state. We will be on the cold side of this one with some light to possibly moderate snow across the state. Then Sunday the 27th and Monday the 28th, ANOTHER storm could move into the state with a plentiful amount of snow (with possible blizzard conditions given the gradient between a 1000mb low over Paducah KY and a 1032mb high over North Dakota. Of course everything past 7 days is in Voodoo territory and could easily be gone in the next run.
