Another afternoon of snowmelt across the state today. Readings at 1pm have already gotten above freezing across the state (sans Dubuque), with southern Iowa getting above 40°. Temperatures will rise a few more degrees today before settling back below the freezing mark tonight.
Sunday will see similiar temperatures with readings in the mid 30s to mid 40s across the state. Next week, temperatures will trend higher, with 50s possible by mid-week and possibly some locations in far SW Iowa could approach 60° on Thursday. A cold front will move in Friday with a chance of rain showers that may mix with and change to snow as colder weather moves back into the state. Next weekend however, temperatures will be average with readings in the 30s.
