Temperatures this afternoon are near average for the early part of February with readings in the 20s and 30s across the state with a few 40s in Nebraska. A few more days of near or slightly above average temperatures will continue in the state and the region through the weekend. Don’t get used to this warm spell however, as another clipper system moves in Saturday into Sunday with an inch or two of snow and bitterly cold temperatures behind it. As mentioned in the previous posts, temperatures next week will range in the single digits and teens for highs and single digits and teens below zero for nighttime lows. The only good thing, it is expected to be dry all next week despite the bitter cold.
