Snow has nearly overspread the state early this afternoon. Moderate snow was already being reported in central and southern Iowa. The heaviest snow currently is over SE Iowa around Burlington, Keokuk and Fort Madison. More moderate to heavy snow is southwest of the state and will be moving in this direction later this afternoon and tonight. Winds will begin to pick up as well (even though they are already blowing at 20-30mph). Travel WILL be impacted and many roads are likely to be impassable by this evening. More to come.
