Southwest Iowa Snow

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory effective at 6pm this evening and will last until Noon on Sunday for the following counties, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, Shelby, Adair, Adams, Audubon, Cass, Crawford, Decatur, Ringgold, Taylor and Union.

Snow will move into the state late this afternoon, with the heaviest accumulations coming between this evening and sunrise Sunday morning. Total snowfall amounts will range between 2-5″ across the advisory area with localized 6″ amounts possible. The snow will be ending by the late morning and early afternoon hours of Sunday as the storm system moves to the SE of the area.
