Wintery precipitation will be the rule on this Martin Luther King Jr Day, with Sleet, Snow and Freezing Rain moving through the state. The best chances for the ice will be south of Interstate 80 where a tenth of an inch of ice could accumulate, with isolated heavier amounts (a freezing rain advisory may be required later this morning). Further to the north, the precipitation will be all snow with possible sleet mixing in. Snowfall amounts are still in the 1-4″ range with higher amounts further to the northeast. There will be some heavier totals as well. The precipitation will end by this evening but travel problems will linger for the rest of the night into Tuesday morning.
