The image above shows how bad the roads have gotten in the Des Moines Metro area. The road was closed westbound due to the semi accident (which you can see blocking the two lanes of the road). Numerous other accidents have occurred in and around Des Moines all morning and into the afternoon. If you have to travel, take your time, the roads are very slippery and will likely remain so through the rest of this afternoon into this evening.
