The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a Winter Weather Advisory which is in effect until 8pm this evening for Lyon, Osceola, Dickinson, O’Brien and Clay counties.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 9pm this evening for the following counties, Emmet, Kossuth, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Humboldt, Wright, Franklin, Butler, Bremer, Webster, Hamilton, Hardin, Grundy, Black Hawk, Marshall, Tama, Chickasaw, Floyd, Howard and Mitchell.
Winds of 20-35mph are possible along with some light snow across the advisory area. This will cause the light powdery snow to blow around quite easily leading to a reduction in visibilities. Conditions should improve by late this evening into the overnight hours.
Outside the advisory area, some snow and blowing snow is also possible as well, although not up to the criteria level of an advisory, visibilities could be reduced with any light snow that falls and any winds that may gust over 30mph.
