Advisory in NW Iowa

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that is in effect from Thursday morning until early Friday morning for the following counties, Lyon, Osecola, Sioux, O’Brien, Plymouth and Cherokee. Snowfall accumulations in these areas will be anywhere between 2-4″ with isolated heavier totals possible. Snow will begin moving into the state late Thursday morning and last for approximately 12-18 hours before ending early Friday morning. More advisories are likely to be hoisted later tonight or very early tomorrow morning for many more counties in the state, as the snow moves in.
