Arctic Cold Next Monday

Earlier I blogged about the arctic cold that is forecast to move into the state following this weekend snow storm. Below is the projected lows off the 12z run of the GFS.

GFS MOS Projected Lows Next Monday AM

Considering tonight, temperatures will be in the single digits above and below zero (mainly above), next week will be MUCH COLDER, with possible readings dropping into the -10s, especially in areas that may receive a lot of snow from this storm this weekend.

Along with this VERY COLD WEATHER, there will be of all things, GUSTY WINDS to go along with this cold especially Sunday night. This could create dangerous wind chills which may lead to Wind Chill Advisories and or warnings!

But don’t worry just yet, this is still a week away and we still have to go through a snowstorm this weekend before this possible arctic chill makes an appearance. (and things can still change for the warmer!)
