The next few days will see warmer than average temperatures across the state. Given that the average highs in early November are in the lower to middle 50s across the state, seeing highs in the 60s through at least Tuesday will be a gift, given that there could be snow on the ground this time of year also.
The latest model runs continue to show a storm system moving through the state and the upper midwest around Veteran’s Day next week. The timing has changed somewhat over the last few days with the main activity looking to be on Friday and Saturday, however things could change again over the next 24-48 hours. What hasn’t changed is that there is still a chance that some parts of the state could see snow on the backside of the storm Friday night into Saturday, with showers and isolated thunderstorms on the warmer side of the storm Friday. Right now it’s too early to determine whether or not any accumulating snow is going to fall (Right now, doesn’t look very likelly), or if any of the thunderstorms that may develop could be severe. We’ll keep you updated over the next few days.
In the meantime, enjoy the pleasantly warm weather.
