After a frosty weekend, temperatures will begin to climb back above the seasonal averages by the end of the week. Temperatures may approach 80° by the end of the week in the western sections of the state, while the rest of the state will easily be in the mid to upper 70s for highs by Friday and into the following weekend. Rain will be non-existant for the second week in a row. It will be a good week for the farmers out harvesting their crops once more.
Flooding continues along the Des Moines River from Humboldt upstream, along the Big Sioux and Little Sioux Rivers in NW Iowa and along the Mississippi River.
