The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning from 4am until 9am Sunday for the following counties, Black Hawk, Bremer, Butler, Cerro Gordo, Franklin, Grundy, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Kossuth, Winnebago, Worth and Wright. Temperatures in these areas will likely drop into the upper 20s to around 30 degrees during the morning hours. Any plants will likely be killed if not protected. A frost advisory remains in effect for the rest of the state through mid-morning Sunday.
UPDATE: The Freeze Warning has been expanded to include, Buchanan, Delaware, Dubuque, Benton, Linn, Jones, Jackson and Clinton counties in EC Iowa.
