Here are the temperatures 24 hours apart (in some cases seasons apart). Temperatures on Monday were 25-35 degrees above the temperature at the same time 24 hours earlier across most of the region. Some places that were in the mid to upper 50s Sunday afternoon were near 90 or even in the lower 90s Monday afternoon. Along with the heat that returned to the state, the humidity also returned with dewpoints climbing back into the 60s statewide. This will continue into Tuesday, before a cold front moves in late in the afternoon. Another warm day is in store Thursday before another front moves in and temperatures drop back to seasonal levels.
