Wind has been the big factor today, with winds gusting over 30-40mph most of the day. Winds have begun to die down this evening as High Pressure moves closer. This will also plummet temperatures tonight back into the 40s by Wednesday morning. Cool conditions will remain for the week, with a chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms returning on Thursday. Those chances will come from the remnants of Hermaine which made landfall in South Texas earlier today. Rainfall could be heavy at times, as the storm system moves through the state. Temperatures will remain slightly below average for the rest of the week into the upcoming weekend.
