Severe Weather Threat for Labor Day

There is a slight risk of severe weather for this afternoon and tonight for portions of the state. This is mainly for the central and eastern sections. The main threats will be from large hail and damaging straightline winds, along with an isolated threat of a tornado. The atmosphere will remain capped for most of the day, so many activities taking place should not get effected by any showers and thunderstorms. The storms will quickly move out of the state later this evening and overnight, with nicer weather returning for the beginning of the shortened work week.

NOTE: Severe Weather Warnings will likely only be on the twitter feed today, given that I’m out of state at this time.
