* AT 1002 PM CDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 5 MILES EAST OF MONROE…OR 32 MILES EAST OF DES MOINES…AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE…NEWTON…LAMBS GROVE…NEWTON AIRPORT…SULLY…LYNNVILLE…KELLOGG AND OAKLAND ACRES.
