* AT 959 PM CDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED APPROXIMATELY ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM BRANDON TO 18 MILES SOUTHWEST OF BELLE PLAINE…OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF INDEPENDENCE TO 23 MILES WEST OF MARENGO…AND MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH. THIS LINE OF STORMS HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS… WITH TREES AND POWER LINES KNOCKED DOWN IN TAMA AND TOLEDO IN TAMA COUNTY AT 945 PM CDT.
