Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings remain in effect through Friday evening for a large portion of the state. Heat Indices will be over 100° in the southern half of the state during the daylight hours Thursday and again on Friday, with actual readings in the 90s. Make sure you take the appropriate precautions that you normally would take during heat waves over the next 48 hours. Relief is in sight next week with temperatures actually falling BELOW NORMAL!!!!!!
