Dewpoints today were very comfortable with readings in the 50s to lower 60s. This led to very comfortable conditions across the state today, which will also continue into Friday. However, this is not going to last as dewpoints will begin a slow climb through the weekend back into the 70s by Sunday. This will also bring chances of showers and thunderstorms back into the forecast at that time. There is a chance of rain nearly every day next week, but as has been the case this past week, not everyone will see rain every day, nor will it be an all day rain. A forecast video will be posted later tomorrow afternoon for next week, which will also include the first two days of the State Fair in Des Moines.
