The Storm Prediction Center has issued a TORNADO WATCH effective until 2am for the following counties, Benton, Buchanan, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson, Jones and Linn. These counties were under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch that was in effect until 10pm, that watch is no longer in effect for these counties. Thunderstorms are currently over the US Hwy 20 corridor from Waterloo to Dubuque. The storms have been moving east with a slow movement to the southeast. These storms have the capability of producing not only a few isolated tornadoes, but some large hail and very strong straightline winds as well.
